Collision with motor vehicle at 4300 11th Ave NW
reported by Dan
Date: 2008-11-03
Crash type: Collision with motor vehicle
Geometry: Vehicle came from side
Vehicle type: Car
Description: I was heading east on NW 45th. I stopped at intersection on NW 45th and 11th NW. Proceeded through intersection when clear (Burke Gilman trail begins on the opposite side, next to Fred Meyer parking lot). Car coming northbound on 11th NW, failed to stop at the stop sign. In discussion with driver of car, she indicated she didn't see the stop sign and she didn't see me. She hit me in the rear wheel of my bike knocking me down on the pavement. I had almost completely exited the intersection when I was struck. I recall seeing her car when I entered the intersection but it was some ways away from the intersection and I assumed she would stop at the stop sign. Furthermore there was a fair amount of traffic and I had waited my turn and was taking my turn to cross the intersection. Add note to this report
