It is precisely 1 foot away from traffic, so if a rider rides to the left of it they are within danger of being doored by parked cars, or if they ride to the right of it they could aggravate cars driving on an arterial road. Construction site with gravel on the road and two sections with lower pavement due to resurfacing. In one of those spots a utility access is 4-6 inches sunken below the pavement level, and could, at the worst, break a wheel and throw a rider into traffic, and at the least jar them significantly. on the little road leading from Madison East shopping center to Hermina St., there is a small water valve sunk about four inches below the newly paved road surface. Across Hermina, there is a new sidewalk (sewers were replaced there last summer). However, dirt was never filled in on the sides of the sidewalk, so there is a six-inch drop. Because the area is not well-lit, it could be a hazard, and this is the primary bike route to the library and the shopping center. I have reported this three times to the city's "Report a Problem" site, with no action taken. Full report
