YOUR ATTENTION PLEASE!!
Hello fellow cyclist, This morning I was riding in Palos Verdes, in Southern California, on Grandvia Altamria, riding down from Hawthorne Blvd. I notice this dark blue or black Mercedes 4 door car - tinted windows ( handicap sticks on the plates) coming in the opposite direction about 300 ft downhill, start to cross the yellow lines. Next thing I know I hear the car accelerate and its driving right towards me. The car was completely on the wrong side of the street and I had no place to stop or turn off. I lucked out and got to a driveway where I could turn in and crash into their bushes. The car missed me by about 5 feet and hit the curb, then drove back to their side of the road and continued on uphill. PSYCHO is all I can think! (ps I had not previously seen this car or had any poor encounters with anyone else). Full report |
