Description:
Cyclist was within the traffic circle, low speed on the outside of the lane. Motorist was entering the traffic circle from the east. Motorist did not appear to look left when entering the circle. Wet conditions did not allow for cyclist to conduct a successful emergency stop. Motorist stopped just as cyclist reached out to push against the hood of the car to attempt a stop. Cyclist was deflected onto the truck skirt of the circle and hit the ground. Motorist stopped, but became confused and for a brief second started to move forward towards the cyclist who at that time was on the ground in front of the car. Cyclist was able to abandon the bike and move away from the car, pulling the bike along. No injuries to bike or cyclist, fortunately. Full report
