Heading northbound the driver of the truck towing a boat drove off the road onto the bike path capturing the cyclist between the truck bed and the bow of the boat. The driver accelerated, the boat and trailer contacted the bicycle, making the rider loose control. Full report

Police said the cyclist appeared to have been âriding across lanes of traffic on Logan mid-block, when a vehicle traveling on Logan struck him.â The vehicle, which was not identified, was going the speed limit, police said.

Description:
I observed this minor wreck from across the street.
Bike was slowing down for the light, car went wide around the bicyclist but neither of them stopped because the light turned green. The car took an immediate hard right and the bicyclist slammed on his brakes and impacted the right rear quarter panel at approx 5 mph. Not enough to knock him off his bike but enough to cause him to have to straighten his bike components before he could continue. Car was definitely inattentive or ignorant of the bike that was just passed. Bike was too close to the curb and had no escape route. Full report |
