Description:
During the MS Ride, I was mostly focused on traffic, other cyclists crossing road ahead of me to attend rest stop on other side of road, my front wheel struck an UNMARKED pothole created by a sunken water main.
This occured directly in front of the residence at 517 N. Maple Avenue in La Conner. After I was taken from the scene by paramedics, according to a witness, workers from the town of LaConner came an marked the pothole with orange paint. According to the same witness, who lives at the residence, he had warned The Town of La Conner many times of the danger that this pothole poses to cyclists and nothing was done until after my injury accident.
