Crash reports for Everett, WA

Location: 11217 Airport Rd, Everett, WA 98204, USA
Geometry: Vehicle turned into passing bike
Injury: Moderate
Description: Bike was stopped at intersection of 112th st and Airport road, in the bike lane, along side SUV involved in the collision, which was the second car in line. Only the first car waiting had a turn signal on, and therefore the cyclist stayed to the right of the second car. When light turned green, the SUV involved in the collision (2nd car) turned without using turn signal into path of cyclist that had begun to move through the intersection. Cyclist tapped on the car to let them know he was there, to no avail. Next came a full hit on the side of the car to get them to stop, but they had already constricted the space between the curb and cyclist to a minimum such that the cyclist was not able to stay upright anymore. Fell to left side, scraping elbow, and doing minor damage to bike and clothing.

SUV did not stop initially, but car behind them chased them down. Fire and police came, refused ER visit, as cyclist was confident of favorable condition. Full report

Geometry: Vehicle turned into oncoming bike
Injury: Moderate
Description: I was headed North on Holly Drive in Everett and stopped at the 4-way stop at the intersection of Holly and 100th. When it was my turn, I proceeded into the intersection. A red 1987 Mustang was facing South, opposite me, with it's left blinker on and began creeping out into the intersection as I began. When I was in the middle of the intersection, the driver suddenly accelerated and turned left contacting the rear half of my bike with the driver's side front bumper. I was thrown from the bike, and the frame was damaged beyond repair. The driver initially stopped, but when I yelled for someone to call 911 he fled the scene. The license plate number was reported to the police and they eventually found the driver, who claimed that he left because he felt threatened by me due to the fact that I'm tall and I looked angry. Description: Ride through this intersection every morning and afternoon. Contractor had barriers up week earlier which I drove around.
