Description:
I was riding back towards Burlington's city limits on Josh Wilson Road when I came to the intersection with Pulver Road. I was riding through the intersection when I was broadsided from the left at roughly 20-25 miles per hour by a man driving a silver Volkswagen who had been stopped a moment earlier coming from the stop sign on the other side of the intersection, traveling from Pulver. He was talking on a cell phone when he hit me. After the full broadside impact I flipped over the handlebars and landed hard on the rough pavement, rolling violently several times and stopping at the edge of the road. My bike sailed into the ditch on the other side of the road and was severely damaged. The frame, cranks, wheels, and shifters were all massively bent and/or put out of position. Full report
