Description:
I was on the right side of this bucolic country road while on a cross country bike tour. My bike was fully loaded with bright red front and rear panniers. I was side swiped by a light duty pick up truck. It hit my left rear pannier (left a big tire mark) and then I believe the side view mirror hit my shoulder which knocked me out. I woke a few seconds later in the ditch bruised and bleeding. The accident was a hit and run. I flagged down a passing motorist who called 911 and I was flown by helicopter to a hospital. Full report
