Cyclist tried to "beat the light" while crossing eastbound in the crosswalk. He entered the crosswalk as his light turned yellow. The car started to move on its green light to head north and the cyclist was hit as he tried to get around from the side at about 15 mph. The driver stopped immediately after hitting the cyclist. Description:
A 59-year-old woman riding a bicycle was hit at 344 E. 100 South in Salt Lake City by a motorist exiting the Odyssey House.
The driver looked to the west while she left the lot and hit the cyclist, who was coming from the east, about 2 p.m. Thursday. The cyclist was taken to a hospital for observation, but there were no apparent injuries. The driver was cited for failing to yield. Full report

Description:
The bicyclist was westbound on 100 South when an eastbound vehicle turned left in front of the bicyclist. The cyclist ran into the vehicle and was taken to the hospital. Snyder said he was walking around.

Description:
Around 7 a.m. a 51-year-old cyclist ran into a car and suffered severe head trauma.
A woman was driving east along 400 South when she went through a green light at the 200 East intersection. Meanwhile, the bicyclist was pedaling south through a red light along 200 East through the same intersection, said Salt Lake City Police spokeswoman Sgt. Robin Snyder. The man ran into the woman's car, striking her driver's side, Snyder said. The man hit his head and was not wearing a helmet. He was taken to a hospital in critical condition. Police have not yet released his name. Snyder said it appeared the bicyclist was at fault, and police have not issued any citations. Full report
