Description:
All other traffic shared the road with me, by moving into the empty center lane on this three-lane road. There are 4' signs with a bicycle profile and the words - Share the Road, in many places along the bicycle route. The vehicle ahead of WPY-6196 moved into the center lane to overtake me. I saw in my rear view mirror that WPY-6196 was not moving over at all. I began to wave my left arm vigorously - frantically, actually. The driver of WPY-6196 [Jan Stanley, 1581 Bricklanding Rd. SW, Shallotte, NC 28470] struck my hand with her outside rear view mirror with a loud, very audible whack. She did not stop or even touch her brakes. Moreover, this is not the first incident with this car and driver. In 2007 and 2008 she similarly strafed me on the same road - rather than moving over to the unoccupied center lane, on these two other occasions, she came within inches of me on the bicycle in horrendous displays of dangerous, rude and homicidal driving. Without physical or property damage, I cannot now make a claim. However, I will direct my heirs to specifically seek punitive damages, once she has killed me and a claim can be made, inasmuch as there exists prior knowledge of the problem. Full report
