Description:
The cyclist (Kevin Pavlis) was traveling with a group of other cyclists headed east on Hill Road about 7:44 p.m. Thursday.
A 16-year-old driving an SUV was headed west on Hill Road and making a left-hand turn onto Smith Street, when the teen struck one of the cyclists. No charges have been (nor will be) filed against the driver. All witnesses say Pavlis and another cyclist riding with him were both in the designated bike lane on Hill Road when the teen driver of the SUV tried to make a left turn on to Smith Avenue and drove right in the path of Pavlis.
