Description:
On 2009-08-06, at the driveway to the shopping center south of the merge point between Glendale Ave. and Verdugo Rd. I drove by the aftermath of an accident between a motorist and a cyclist. The cyclist was down in the road in obvious pain with the bike tangle (but not mangled) over him. I did not stay to determine any other details.
My estimation of what happened is that the cyclist was on the sidewalk and was struck by the motorist attempting to either enter or leave the shopping center. But I cannot directly confirm this. I estimate this because the location of the cyclist in the road (it looks like he was pushed there instead of pushed out of the road). Full report |
